the Incas' Sacred Valley
Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas: Its first day is dedicated to the famous Sacred Valley of Peru, appreciated by the Incas due to its special geographical and climatic qualities. It was one of the main points of the empire for the extraction of natural wealth, and one of the most important areas for the production of corn in Peru.
We begin the trip by visiting the impressive fortress of Pisac, continuing towards the colonial town at the base of the ruin, where we will visit a craft market full of handmade products.
Then, you will enjoy a typical meal in the town of Urubamba, then we will go to the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo, site of another great Inca ruin. After the tour, you will be transferred to the train station to enjoy a two-hour train ride to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night (3-star hotel included).
Machu Picchu: Early in the morning we board a mini bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu to begin the guided tour.
This site known as "Lost City of the Incas" is one of the most famous examples of Inca architecture, here you will visit the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Dial of the Sacred Sun, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, houses, warehouses, a large central square; all connected by narrow roads and steps that are surrounded by terraces cut on the slope of the mountain.
After the tour, enjoy free time to explore the sanctuary on your own; Return at night to Ollantayambo by train.
Then a bus will take you back to the city of Cuzco.
