Itinerary
Day 1
Puno - Patahuasi - Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca - Patapamapa Viewpoint of Volcanoes - Chivay
- 6:00 AM. We will pick you up from your respective hotels in the city of Puno to leave for the town of Chivay.
- We will make stops along the route and our guide will explain each place
- You will also be able to appreciate South American camelids such as vicuñas, llamas and alpacas.
- We stop at Pata Pampa ("El Mirador de los Andes"), the highest part of the route at 4,800 meters above sea level.
- We arrive in Chivay at approximately 1:00 p.m.
- Hotel accommodation.
- In the afternoon - Visit to the thermal baths (optional, on behalf of the traveler).
- Overnight in Chivay.
Day 2
Chivay - Traditional towns - Viewpoints - Cruz del Cóndor - Colca Canyon
- 6:00 AM. Breakfast
- Then we go to the viewpoint of the Cruz del Cóndor where we will stay for a period of approximately 1 hour.
- From here you can appreciate in its greatest dimension the depth of the Colca Canyon and also the majestic flight of the Condor at close range.
- On the way back we will observe archaeological remains, Inca and pre-Inca agricultural terraces and other panoramic views of the Colca Canyon.
- We will pass through the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque, where we will make stops to observe their church, craft center, the typical clothing of its inhabitants, among others.
- Return to Chivay.
- Free time for lunch.
- Departure to the city of Arequipa.
- 5:00 pm - Arrival in Arequipa (approximate time).
- End of the tour in the historic center in the Plaza de Armas.
